We just got back from AnimeNYC. Thanks so much to everybody who showed up to our panel. Despite some weird issues (including "AnimEigo" getting dropped from our panel name), a ton of people showed up!
We were able to make some really cool announcements. The first is that Black Jack: The Complete OVA Series is now up for pre-order!
All 12 OVA episodes (eps 1-10 with English dub) are spread across two discs, with a third disc just for bonus features! These include the original SD 4x3 versions of eps 1-7, THREE episodes of commentary with the late, great Osamu Dezaki, interviews with animation producer Masao Maruyama, voice actors Akio Otsuka (Black Jack) and Yuko Mizutani (Pinoko), and episode 11 director Satoshi Kuwabara.
It comes out December 16, 2025 – just in time for the holidays. Pre-order now! (As always, grabbing it from the MediaOCD Store gets you an exclusive slipcover.)
As if that wasn't enough Osamu Tezuka for you, we announced that we're working with SkySet Entertainment to bring you another great adaptation, and this one is freshly dubbed!

Prime Rose: A Time Slip of 10,000 Years will be coming to Blu-ray from AnimEigo! More details very soon!
Next, we announced some really cool deals. Our friends at Discotek Media have been sitting on some DVDs of great old titles like Street Fighter II: The Animated Series, Lupin the Third: Jigen's Gravestone, Hells, Project A-ko 2-4 and Mazinger Z. These are all now out of print, so we're blowing them out at ludicrous prices. Come check out our clearance sale for some very unusual savings! (Some of AnimEigo's last few DVDs are in there too.)
We also filled in some of the Discotek Blu-ray back catalog. Digimon TV Season 1 in English or Japanese, as well as the beloved classic Gunbuster are now for sale. (If you haven't picked up Gunbuster yet, I HIGHLY suggest you don't wait much longer.)
In Full Moon news, replacement discs should be arriving this week from the factory, so we'll start getting those out to everybody really soon.
Last but very definitely not least, we have a brand new episode of The Anime Business! This installment features a candid interview with the founder and CEO of TOKYOPOP, Stu Levy! Check it out now!
If you want to hear more from Stu, including lots about Initial D (and his distaste for Eurobeat), there's a bonus clip for our paid supporters on both MediaOCD.com and YouTube.
Good lord, two big updates in one month? I sure am tired. But thanks so much for your support!
