Alien Nine! And introducing Discotek Deep Dives

At long last, we are proud to announce preorders for Alien Nine.

Alien Nine is a show very near and dear to my heart, and I am elated to be bringing it out in HD for the very first time. Equal parts disturbing horror/sci-fi and coming-of-age drama, Alien Nine is the sort of nutso OVA series that I grew up on. The animation has aged supremely well.

We've preserved all of the bonus features from the old Central Park Media DVD, and added more, including never-before-seen interviews with executive producer Taro Maki and other show staff, a performance from the Japanese voice cast, and more.

On another topic, as a company with a long standing relationship with Discotek Media, we couldn't help but notice that another retailer has started delisiting a significant portion of their back catalog, even including titles that are very much NOT out of print. We think that's a shame (and it's one of the reasons we keep getting asked if their titles are gone for good).

So, to rectify the situation, we have decided to take proactive steps to carry THE ENTIRE DISCOTEK BACK CATALOG (to the extent that it's available). However, that's a HUGE catalog, and just dumping several hundred titles into our shop is overwhelming – for you and for us. Not to mention, it's a bit expensive. (Remember, we have to buy all of our inventory in order to sell it to you!)

Our solution: DISCOTEK DEEP DIVES. Every month, we'll add 20-30 titles from the Discotek Media collection, prioritizing ones that are getting hard to find. We'll have them up for pre-order for a few weeks before we get the inventory to ship them out, so you can make sure you get one.
